More Albatros C.I (Windsock Datafile 57) By Peter M. Grosz To quote a well-worn WWI aeronautical cliche, the Albatros C.I was a true workhorse, a sound,easy to maintain aeroplane that entered service in April 1915 and soldiered on until the Armistice. Derived from a successful pre-war design the C.I with its rear gun position was the first of the soon-to-be-standard German two-seat Kampfflugzeuge and was built in large numbers. With several contractors building the type and with various powerplant installations, the C.I offers modellers a wide choice of configurations as the photos in this book amply testify. The many illustrations of radiator, exhaust and armament variations that appear in following pages will repay careful study.
