Transistor Circuit Techniques: Discrete and integrated, 3rd Edition

One of a series intended for first- and second-year undergraduate courses, this text provides coverage of the design of both discrete and integrated electronic circuits. It guides students through the analysis and design of transistor circuits, using worked examples and design examples as illustration. A wide range of transistor circuitry, both linear and switching, is presented in terms of fundamental qualitative circuit operation, followed by analysis and design procedure. This edition has two new chapters on power amplifiers and power supplies, which further develop many of the circuit-design techniques introduced earlier in the book.

Again you conveniently forgot to mention the year of publication, which is 1993 (not 2003 as Amazon says, though this IS the 3rd edition). Despite its age, this book is a classic from the days when transistors were still the basic building blocks of electronics. Gordon Ritchie is a Visiting Fellow at the University of York and the book is well worth having.
