SAP reagiert mit Business One auf den Wunsch mittelständischer Unternehmen nach einer preiswerten und überschaubaren betriebswirtschaftlichen Software: Business One ist leistungsfähig, leicht zu bedienen und ermöglicht es auch kleinen Unternehmen alle Vorteile der Softwarelösungen von SAP zu nutzen.

Das Buch

Hier liegt das erste Buch zu SAP Business One vor. Es ist äußerst praxisbezogen - anhand der Abläufe in einem typischen Mittelstandsunternehmen werden die betriebswirtschaftlichen Prozesse unter Business One vorgestellt. Nach einer kurzen Einführung in die Software verdeutlicht der Autor die Prozesse, die durch die Anwendung von Business One möglich werden. Die Erläuterungen des Autors sind didaktisch sehr geschickt: Auf der linken Buchseite wird der Prozess Schritt für Schritt erklärt, während Bildschirmmasken auf der rechten Seite es dem Leser erlauben die Erläuterung visuell nachzuvollziehen. Auch die Möglichkeiten einer Integration über APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) und die Auswertungsmöglichkeiten mit zusätzlichen Queries werden in diesem Buch beschrieben.

Der Autor

Thomas Teufel war jahrelang bei der SAP AG beschäftigt und verfasste in dieser Zeit mehrere Bücher über R/3 und mySAP. Er betreibt inzwischen sein eigenes Entwicklungs- und Schulungsunternehmen, Teufel-Software, das als einer der ersten Channel-Partner der SAP Schulungen im Bereich Business One vornimmt.
