For Deborah Peregrin, owner of a small-town jewelry store, life is simply chugging along. She makes custom creations for the well-heeled and tangles with the common heels. When one of her best customers, Mae Griffiths, turns up dead of a cocaine overdose, Deborah can't sit back and accept the verdict of suicide.
