We all know the truth about Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). He came on earth as the last prophet to show us how to save our souls from the flames of Hell. Robert Spencer hates Islam and Muslims because a lot of people especially Westeners convert to Islam. Islam is growing in USA, Europe, ASIA and everywhere. Spencer is practicing Melkite Catholic which is followed by a worldwide membership of approximately 1.3 million. Islam is followed by 1.5 billion muslims worldwide and still growing! Robert Spencer is just jealous and hateful. :) His book is not worth the ink he used for writing it!

It's easy for fools to present a picture to the illiterate (Which almost 99% of the west was at that time) and then reinvent it today to make sales. These people are not the pillars they make themselves out to be. There is only a little known about Muhammad (pbuh) in the christian texts and just a little more known from jewish text as the world then is a lot different now. So it is from this little biased knowledge of the few who could read and write at time that 99.5% of the current books of anti-islam sentiment is based but it's blown out to be more than it really is.

There is no direct evidence of a lot of the allegations made against Islam. It is Islam that the modern world owes its creation to as it did not persecute scientists and intellectuals as witches and heretics unlike Early Cristianity and it did not support racism like judiasm (look up the word "goy" in any Hebrew or English dictionary.)

People seem to confuse Modern Islam with all it's political infighting and cultural divides with the real Islam which is all about leading a proper and academic life. Look at both sides of the paper don't fall for the trick of only looking where people like Robert tell you, they just want you to buy their book not develop a view.

Anyway, yes the Arabs people did have some medical and mathematical contribution to the world knowledge, but all of this changed once they adopted Islam.

The current rewriting of the history will not change the fact or discounting it just because you do not like it. We know the history of the past and now. A person educated Madrasah know well and understand this quote as said by Caliph Umar before burning the library of Alexandria

By the way this quote did come from Muslim Ibn al-Qifti, a twelfth-century [or thirteenth] Sunni chronicler. Yes, I know that this fact is currently in a process of erasure from the history books that did or still mention it.

This does underline the current attitude and tendency to rewrite books in the west by donation or sponsoring the rewrite of books especially in Wester educational system.
