Tarifwahl-Biases sind bislang ausschließlich im Business-to- Consumer-Bereich untersucht worden. Viele Konsumenten wählen eine Flatrate, obwohl ihr Rechnungsbetrag in einem nutzungsabhängigen Tarif niedriger wäre (Flatrate-Bias), andere Kunden bevorzugen einen nutzungsabhängigen Tarif, obwohl sie in einer Flatrate weniger zahlen müssten (Pay-per-Use-Bias). Am Beispiel von Mobilfunktarifen analysiert Susanne Stingel die Tarifwahl und Tarifwahl-Biases sowie die Gründe für die Entscheidung bei Geschäftskunden. Aufbauend auf einer theoretisch-konzeptionelle Analyse zeigt sie anhand von Befragungs- und Beobachtungsdaten, welche Tarife von Geschäftskunden gewählt werden und dass Tarifwahl-Biases auch in diesem Kontext auftreten. Flatrate-Biases sind dabei weitaus bedeutender als Pay-per-Use-Biases. Als nachweislich relevante Ursachen identifiziert sie die Einschätzung bzw. Fehleinschätzung der Nutzung und den Versicherungs- sowie den Bequemlichkeitseffekt als weitere Einflussfaktoren. Bei der Relevanz von Taxameter- und Bequemlichkeitseffekt ergeben sich Unterschiede zu bisherigen Erkenntnissen im Business-to-Consumer- Bereich. Abschließend entwickelt die Autorin Handlungsoptionen für das Management von Tarifwahl-Biases.
