К реконструкции восточнославянского язычества" В книге предложена новая реконструкция восточнославянского язычества, оспаривающая как выводы академика Б.А.Рыбакова, так и систему В.В.Иванова - В.Н.Топорова. Автор, известный русский археолог и филолог, открыл в чечено-ингушском фольклоре мифические предания о Перуне, занесенные на Кавказ тысячу лет назад переселением славян в перипетиях арабских завоевательных походов. Эти данные он сопоставляет с русскими сказками (в частности о царе Салтане), поверьями о ведьмах и русалках и летописным преданием. Перун предстает в этой реконструкции как главный бог славян из разряда умирающих и воскресающих божеств, схожий с Аполлоном и связанный с сексуальным культом плодородия. Подробно анализируются так называемая Велесова книга и данные археологии. Тема приобрела в последнее время актуальность в связи с распространением националистического неоязычества и общим оживлением спора почвенников и западников о своеобразии культурного развития России.
