"Аврора", "Диана", "Паллада" (Арсенал коллекция) Этим крейсерам достались не только необычные для кораблей 1 ранга имена античных богинь, но и столь же необычная судьба. "Аврора", "Диана" и "Паллада" - первые крейсера Российского флота серийной постройки. Они предназначались для действий на океанских коммуникациях и потому обладали хорошей мореходностью и высокой автономностью, однако их вооружение и защита не отвечали требованиям эскадренного боя. Но волею судеб всем трем крейсерам довелось сражаться именно с вражескими броненосными эскадрами. Во время Русско-японской войны 1904-1905 гг. "Диана" и "Паллада" участвовали в сражении в Желтом море, "Аврора" - в Цусимском бою. "Паллада" была затоплена в Порт-Артуре и позже входила в состав японского флота, а две ее сестры вернулись на Балтику, где их застала Первая Мировая война. В октябре 1917-го "Аврора" произвела исторический холостой выстрел из носового орудия, благодаря которому стала самым знаменитым кораблем отечественного флота...
