Title: Officina linguistica : Studi sul Sardo medioevale "Gli studi sul sardo medioevale rappresentano uno dei settori meno sviluppati della linguistica sarda. Se si prescinde dall'edizione di qualche testo – contributo che attiene più al campo della filologia che a quello della linguistica –, gli ultimi novant'anni hanno prodotto sul tema un numero veramente esiguo di scritti, oltre tutto di valore disomogeneo. Le cause di questa non buona situazione della ricerca sono molteplici, ma certo in larga misura riconducibili al fatto che il riconoscimento del sardo come sistema linguistico autonomo all'interno del dominio romanzo coincise, agli inizi del Novecento, con i fasti del mtodo storico-comparativo e della dialettologia che, concentrando l'attenzione sulle parlate vive delle plebi rurali della Romània, trascurarono alquanto i documenti medievali[...]" (dalla premessa di Giulio Paulis).
