More Damon Hill. On top of the world Damon Hill won the 1996 Formula 1 World Championship with a brilliant victory in Japan, the final round of the 16-race season, to cap a dramatic career and emulate his father Graham, who won the title in 1962 and 1968. It wasn't an easy victory. Hill, a thoroughly decent man, made it to the very top of the world's most spectacular sport through his own hard slog, commitment, and utter refusal to be deterred by the many setbacks he found in his path. This all-new book covers his full story, from boyhood as the son of a famous father, through competing in the junior formulae, to joining Williams as a test driver in 1991 then, in just his second full Grand Prix season, having to don the mantle of team leader after Ayrton Senna's death.
