More Emotional Genius: How Your Emotions Can Save Your Life [AUDIOBOOK] Karla McLaren is an empath, healer, teacher, and author who specializes in the field of physical and emotional trauma work. On this nine-hour training program, she explores emotions as "the missing element for uniting your body, mind, and spirit." Most of us have been taught to see them as troublemakers — especially in a culture that worships reason and scientific objectivity. Using insights gleaned from shamanism, Eastern philosophy, and Western psychology, McLaren challenges us to reframe our emotions and see them as practical tools that can enrich and enhance our relationships, work, and personal search for meaning. The first step to a healthier emotional life is getting back in the body. McLaren presents a centering process, a grounding exercise, and a "container" visualization for deep work with feelings. She looks at various emotions including joy, anger, fear, boredom, love, and hate and discusses ways they can be channeled properly and consciously. McLaren's "burning your contracts" ritual is designed for ending difficult relationships and behaviors.
