More Classical | Label : Deutsche Grammophon | Release : 1986-87 (from Amazon.com customers reviews) The rendering of the Peer Gynt Suites is outstanding. In addition to the choral contributions which other recordings omit (this adds much to "The Hall of the Mountain King") Järvi's pace on "Morning Mood" and "The Hall of the Mountain King" is simply the best. On many other recordings, "Morning Mood" is played too fast, which at the end looses the awesomeness of morning sunrise. The Gothenburg Symphony performs magnificently, with due accolades given to the woodwinds and horns for their subtle, exquisite performance.
