More Datenbankprogrammierung mit Visual Basic 6 - Jetzt lerne ich... Alles Wichtige zu ADO, Jet-Engine, SQL und Datenumgebung Der Autor vermittelt anschaulich und sehr verst?ndlich die Grundlagen der Datenbankprogrammierung mit Visual Basic unter Verwendung von Access-Datenbanken. Dabei werden auch Grundlagen der Datenbanktheorie (Normalisierung etc.) sowie die Abfragesprache SQL angesprochen. Im Rahmen der Datenbankprogrammierung mit Visual Basic 6 wird allerdings nur auf das neue ADO-Objektmodell eingegangen, das ?ltere DAO wird nur am Rande erw?hnt. Ich halte das Buch für einen gelungenen Versuch, dem Datenbank-Anf?nger die wichtigsten Grundlagen zu vermitteln. Meiner Ansicht nach ist das Buch aber etwas zu sehr auf "einfache" Desktop-Datenbanken zentriert, mir fehlt ein Ausblick auf Server-Datenbanken (SQL-Server, Oracle ...) und komplexere (mehrschichtige) Datenarchitekturen. Für den Anf?nger ist das Buch - vor allem wegen der Verst?ndlichkeit und der Anschaulichkeit durch die Orientierung an Beispielen - sehr empfehlenswert.
