Analysing Systems: Determining Requirements for Object-Oriented Development (Bcs Practitioner)

This text describes and explains the ORCA (Object-oriented Requirements Capture Analysis) method. It is aimed at those interested in the description and analysis of complex systems. In particular, it is aimed at those responsible for producing strategies for the use of information technology and requirements for software development. Producing and analyzing models of systems is a primary activity in ORCA and two complementary modelling languages are provided for this purpose. These languages are illustrated throughout the book. A large part of the book is dedicated to a Weaving Factory case study, to illustrate ORCA's Basic Process. Several smaller case studies are used to illustrate how this Basic Process can be tailored for different situations.
