But most of it is just ridiculous. It lists jobs like "CEO" and "college professor" and "professional writer" as good career changes for older workers, as though these jobs just grow on trees and would plop down in your lap if you wanted them. It's a complete waste of money. You would be better off searching job listing sites on the internet. The latest of the "Best Jobs" series, 225 Best Jobs For Baby Boomers is a valuable career-finding resource based on the latest government data. Featuring 225 job descriptions and over 75 best job lists, including jobs with the best pay, fastest growth, and most openings, 225 Best Jobs For Baby Boomers emphasizes that it's never too late to change one's career, make the most of past work experience and seize the future. Entries for individual jobs are brief but compact a staggering amount of information into a couple pages, including annual earnings, growth, annual job openings, % self-employed, % part-time, percentage of workers by age bracket, needed skills, valuable education and training programs, and more. Enthusiastically recommended for both public libraries and private use. "...as though these jobs just grow on trees and would plop down in your lap if you wanted them." I like that.
