More Weyers Flottentaschenbuch 2002/2004 (Warships of the World 2002-2004) By Werner Globke Der 65. Jahrgang ist durch 240 neue Skizzen und 790 neue Fotos auf den neuesten Stand gebracht worden. Gleichzeitig wurde, trotz der damit verbundenen Kosten, der Fototeil auf i Farbdruck umgestellt. Die Aussagekraft des Bilderteils kann dadurch deutlich verbessert werden. Ein wichtiges Ziel des WEYER ist es, ein möglichst genaues Bild des aktuellen Stands der maritimen Rüstung wiederzugeben. Gleichzeitig habe ich versucht, die langfristigen Planungen der großen Marinen aufzuzeigen, auch wenn teilweise nur wenig an Information vorliegt. Beiden Schwerpunkten sollen die neuen Skizzen und Fotos Rechnung tragen. +++ The 65th edition has been brought up-to-date by 240 new drawings and 79 new photos. Simultaneously - despite the rise in costs - the photo section was changed to colour photographs making this part much more meaningful. An important aim of WEYER's is to present a current status of maritime weapons and equipment as close to reality as possible. At the same time I intended to highlight longterm planning of the larger navies, although there is sometimes just very little information available. Both these centres of gravity shall be supported by the new drawings and photos.
