If you have any experience in operation and strategic improvement, you will find yourself nodding your head very quickly as you move through the first few chapters. Couple of things come to mind: (a) the authors know what they are talking about on a level of detail not usually seen in books of this genre and (b) they are very serious about their subject. This book alternates between the hooks that show they understand the problem and some pretty complex analysis (for this type of book) that demonstrates they are equally knowledgeable in understanding solutions. This is a serious book for serious people who are serious about wanting to address complexity. Since about every business has complexity issues, everyone should read and understand it.
