夏树静子的推理作品在国内还是比较容易找到的。前两天逛书店，居然看见她的三大悲剧以每本5元的超低价在大甩卖，不可不谓女作家的悲剧。而让我尤感悲伤的是：除了我以无比痛惜的心情翻了几页外，大概再没有什么人靠近这些推理书。被称为“社会派推理女旗手”的夏树静子的推理作品还是很具可读性和欣赏性的。她尤其擅长描写女性细腻隐秘的心理及表现现代日本社会畸形的婚恋关系。〈〈W的悲剧〉〉，《M的悲剧》《C的悲剧》从三个不同侧面和叙述角度展现了这种社会关系。夏树静子的很多作品都涉及了同一个主题， 即婚外情导致的谋杀及由此给主人公们带来的心理和身体上的影响和后遗症。谋杀变成生活的一种调剂或人生的一段小插曲，如《W的悲剧》；或成为生命的转折点，如《M的悲剧》；或仅仅是一个偶然事件却作为借口求得暂时的心安理得，如《C的悲剧》。
