Königin Dido verliebt sich in den Fremden, verflucht ihn aber und tötet sich selbst, als er aufbricht, um gemäß seiner Bestimmung Rom zu gründen.

Dem Autor gelingt eine recht wortgetreue und vor allem nachvollziehbare, verständliche Übersetzung von Vergils Aeneis. Dabei verzichtet er darauf, den Inhalt in Verse zu pressen, was die Verständlichkeit des Textes erhöht. Außerdem eine sehr gute Übersetzungsmethode, da auch in der Schule stets in Prosa übersetzt wird.
