The Ponziani Opening

More Domencio Lorenzo Ponziani (1719-1796)created this opening (1.E4-E5, 2.KF3-KC6, 3.C3-KF6, 4.D4) more than two centuries ago, but for some reason players almost do not play it nowadays, even when is solid and it's strategic principles are sound and straightforward. This book is very good and full, really full, of analysis of all possible varations. The author does not make any personal comments of the variations and sometimes you miss an advice in some cases. A good research in a rare opening (even when shouldn't be so). Too bad the book itself is so expensive, but you won't regret buying it if you want to learn about this solid and reliable opening.
