More The Mighty Eighth in Art By Roger A. Freeman A collection of artwork featuring the US 8th Air Force during World War II. The paintings are accompanied by a commentary and include: air combat scenes; on board situations; and images of the British bases they flew from. About the Author As a boy, Roger Freeman watched from his father's farm as the 8th Air Force took off for its missions over Germany; he has had a lifelong interest in the Mighty Eighth ever since, and now lectures on USA AF history, both here and in.
