The Jerky Boys are Johnny Brennan and Kamal Ahmed, two guys from Queens, New York who released 6 albums of their hillarious prank phone calls made to unsuspecting people and businesses undercover of such characters as Frank Rizzo (an extremely abrasive blue-collar Italian-American New Yorker with bizarre complaints and requests), Sol Rosenberg (a frail, male 50-something New York Jew who often suffers from various and often comical problems and ailments) among others. The Jerky Boys movie have Johnny and Kamal making prank phone calls to the mob that they are a couple of mafiosi from Chicago who need to hide out in New York City for a while, and that their boss, Rizzo, is ready to whack anybody who doesn't take care of his boys. This inadvertently leads them to become involved in the mob's money laundering operation as they try to prevent them from tearing down their long-loved neighborhood bar to make room for a new mob controlled construction development.

Ozzy Osbourne (a big fan of The Jerky Boys) makes an appearance as manager for the band Helmet who play a rousing "Symptom of the Universe" at a downtown NYC club whose stage equipment is set up by The Jerky Boys whose electrical wiring blows up Helmet's equipment while they're playing on stage.

Tom Jones (another Jerky Boys fan) appears in a cameo and sings "Are You Gonna Go My Way" at the Beacon Theatre.
