Ese realismo de fondo contrasta, en cambio, con la versificaci¨®n exhaltada y la rima que el autor impone a su libro. Martin Fierro is a classical hero. He reflects an atmosphere inherent to Argentina. The text is written in a peculiar language meant to imitate the speech of the gauchos of the period. That basic realism, for its part, contrasts with the exalted verse and the traditional rhyme with which the work is infused.
