More The Case Against Barack Obama: The Unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media's Favorite Candidate by David Freddoso Book Description: He's the media's darling, the fresh face of the Democratic ticket. But what does Barack Obama really stand for--and will his extreme liberal agenda and complete inexperience in global affairs endanger the country? That's what David Freddoso, investigative reporter and National Review Online columnist, examines in The Case Against Barack Obama. In this shocking exposé, Freddoso explores the reality behind the rhetoric, the plans behind the promises, and the faults behind the façade, revealing: * Why Obama's inexperience and extreme left-wing voting record is more dangerous than any threat we face today * Why the Rev. Wright debacle reveals Obama's poor judgment of character and deceitful nature * Why it won't be politics of change with President Obama--it will be liberal politics as usual Freddoso exposes the real Barack Obama: a typical big-government politician, the 1 most liberal U.S. senator, and--if he were commander in chief--a serious threat to our national security. Summary: This is the real Obama Rating: 5 I honestly did not want to read the book, given that it's clearly a hit book. HOWEVER, because Obama has completely refused to appear on any tough venues -- The O'Reilly Factor, for one, even though he promised O'Reilly that he'd come onto the show -- I am forced to read this book. In other words, since Obama is refusing to go onto any tough venues, I'm constantly thinking, "Just what is he hiding?" . . . and this book tells you exactly what he's hiding. Obama has even refused some Town Hall meetings with McCain!! Jeesh! This book does what the media *should* be doing, but isn't. It is a total expose' on what Obama has done, who he has associated with, and what he will do this nation if elected . . . . and it's absolutely terrifying! Listen, folks, it's quite simple: If Barack Obama did not have a secret agenda to hide, then he would go onto tough venues and answer tough questions. Because he's not, it's because he doesn't want to be exposed before November. Well, sorry, Obama, but this book exposes you for the true Marxist and anti-American you are! Get this book!! P.S. All the one-star evaluations are being who will never evaluate Obama or the man's character. Obama could literally murder these reviewers' families and they'd still stick up for the guy. Summary: This is not only the worst political book, but worst case study ever Rating: 1 I am not planning on voting for Obama but decided to check this book out based on the hype. And that is all that it is hype. This has got to go down in history as the worst case study ever. The book is plagued with whining from the Hillary party and the constant whining of Barack's "inexperience". Sorry fellows, you old timers screwed things up bad enough as it is and there aren't many of you that even have a back bone to stand up for the American People (and by that I don't me the American Corporation). The other thing that bothered me was the feeling of utter hate for Barack and the book being very bias in the even the first few paragraphs. Honestly, you can feel the hate. That is not how a case study is to be written. It should be written comparing ideas from a third party perspective without bias and coming to a conclusion based on the collective message sent by the facts included in the book. (Facts where hard to determine, it seemed mostly drama. Good read for those wanting to write scripts for a TV Soap, on a more positive note.) If anything, this book has made me buy some other books on Obama yesterday and research material to determine Obama's stance on issues. So if the intention was to give Obama a bad name, it has failed miserably. It just made the author look like a narrow minded self serving writer with only grade school like intelligence that happened to have a dictionary by him to pick out some words with more than 3 syllables in them to add to the pages. God Bless America, but not this book! Summary: Excellent Book Rating: 5 Sheds light on the alleged golden boy. The author goes where no NY TIMES writer would. Summary: INCREDIBLY BORING! IF YOU LIKE WATCHING PAINT PEEL, YOU'LL LOVE THIS BOOK! Rating: 1 I really looked forward to reading this, and I guess I was expecting too much, but I was completely underwhelmed. The author took an interesting subject and made it anything but interesting. It reads like a textbook! Summary: Why do politicians surprise Americans? Rating: 2 Only the most vapid promoter of opinion would be surprised that any politician, from Karl Rove to Obama, would use tactics to win elections. Surprised is not the word. Feigned hissy fit is closer. Something the extremists of political positions fall into anytime they encounter what fails to slather praise all over their favorite fill-in-the-blank. At least Freddoso called Rudy Giuliani a jerk. I feel sorry for Freddoso, however, spending the hours of his life chasing after the worst of humanity: politicians, and trying to say 'oh you will be shocked to learn that Obama's Chicago team actually disqualified voters registered for opposing candidates.' Yawn. An old horse of a Republican tactic ramped up to rampart-storming power in Florida. Imagine the audacity of a Democrat doing the same. Let's write a book by gum! For Freddoso's part, at least he is looking. It would be revealing, however to read his review of "The Way of the World: A Story of Truth and Hope in an Age of Extremism - by Ron Suskind" one of the few genuine reporters Americans have, or the astonishing "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder - by Vincent Bugliosi" attorney who prosecuted the Manson murders. Freddoso is unlikely to do so. Those authors are intellectually and factually equipped and have prepared their statements with immense research. Freddoso concentrates on character as can be told by history. His choices of targets, line them all up, show what he is: a hired gun for Novak, The National Review and the extremism of neo-con pretensions. In other words, whether it's denigrating Obama or Giuliani, if it's good for the Republican model, then it's worth doing. Freddoso is more a politician who writes instead of one getting elected. There's nothing new here. For that matter, there's nothing new in either of Bugliosi or Suskind's work that the awakened haven't been seeing for a long time now. These books are all for those still sleeping. But sleeping people only read what bolsters their dreams. No contribution to humanity from Freddoso. I suggest instead, The Art of The Subtext - Charles Baxter. Now there's something that will feed you. Mirrors are welcomed! Mate you forgot the third part, thanks Thank you for note.
