Twiname Since the inception of the "Modern Ceramics Era," usually defined as during or slightly following World War II, there have been several advances in ceramic processing technology. One of the newest and most prolific of these advances has been the development and implementation of tape casting as a manufacturing process for the production of thin sheets of just about any material that can be produced as a powder. In today's arena, this includes products ranging from metallic electrodes to organic lithium polymer battery components to the more standard ceramic substrate materials. More and more electronic ceramic products are being fabricated through tape casting technology because of increased demand for smaller size, more complex circuitry, reduced weight, greater reliability, and lower costs.
