Robinson Crusoe

Der Kaufmann und Seefahrer Robinson Crusoe wird nach einem Schiffbruch als einziger Überlebender auf eine unbewohnte Insel verschlagen. Er kämpft ums Überleben - gegen Unwetter, gegen Kannibalen und gegen die Einsamkeit. Er errichtet eine Hütte, baut Getreide an, jagt, stellt Kleidung, Werkzeuge und Waffen her. Nach 28 abenteuerlichen Jahren auf der Insel wird Robinson Crusoe schließlich von einem englischen Schiff gerettet und kehrt nach England zurück. Zahlreiche Illustrationen und erläuternde Texte geben Einblicke in die englische Gesellschaft des 17. Jahrhunderts und in die damalige Seefahrt, berichten von der exotischen Insel, auf der Robinson strandet, und erklären, wie er sein Leben dort einrichtet.
