After receiving his degree in Chemistry in 1979, Bartlett was appointed Chief Chemist at Frater Albertus' Paralab. He has worked as a miner of antimony in Idaho and as a geochemical assayer for the mining industry. He is an Adept Level member of the International Alchemy Guild.
