The text covers all the traditional topics of physics with greater emphasis on the conservation laws, the concepts of field and waves and the atomic view of matter. (One of the best physics textbooks ever. The authors were American, but the book never achieved great success there. It is, however, widely used in Europe and Latin America, while in America we get dumbed-down stuff like Halliday and Serway. :( This real textbook is sorely needed in its English version.)
