For each region, he includes itineraries that wind through historic towns, along rivers, and across covered bridges, as well as a hand-drawn map that makes it easy to follow the route he lays out. Phone numbers for parks and other local attractions are listed, as well as a few lodging suggestions. Outdoor lovers especially will appreciate this book, which points out good places for hiking, biking, birding, and watching wildlife.
