Overview: Perseus "Percy" Jackson is the protagonist and narrator of Percy Jackson & The Olympians, a fantasy series of novels by Rick Riordan. He is a demigod, (the son of a god and a mortal parent) his father being the god of the sea, Poseidon, while his mother is the mortal Sally Jackson.

First introduced in The Lightning Thief as a troubled twelve-year old who finds out that he is a demigod, Percy embarks on several adventures throughout the series to save his friends and the gods of Mount Olympus.

Percy is set to be played by Logan Lerman in the upcoming movie Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, a film adaptation of the first book in the series, The Lightning Thief.

The Lightning Thief

Percy Jackson is a good kid, but he can't seem to focus on his schoolwork or control his temper. And lately, being away at boarding school is only getting worse-Percy could have sworn his pre-algebra teacher turned into a monster and tried to kill him. The Sea of Monsters

After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war between the Greek gods, Percy Jackson's seventh grade school year seems unnervingly quiet.
