More Panzerjäger der Bundeswehr (Waffen-Arsenal 124) By Michael Scheibert Die Entwicklung der Panzerjägertruppe der Bundeswehr wurde entscheidend bestimmt durch die Waffensysteme, die zur Ausstattung der zu bildenden Panzerjägertruppenteile verfügbar waren. In der Wehrmacht gehörten die Panzerjägerverbände zur Panzertruppe. Häufig waren im Zweiten Weltkrieg die Panzerjägerabteilungen der Infanteriedivisionen (wie auch die Sturmgeschützverbän-de) und die jeweiligen 14. Kompanien (PAK mot.) der Infanterie-Regimenter das Rückgrat der Verteidigung. Die Lehrgänge der Panzerjägertruppe fanden an den Schulen der Panzertruppe statt, eigene Panzerjägerschulen gab es erst ab 1944. Ausgehend von diesen Erfahrungen wurde 1956 die Panzerjägertruppe als eigene Waffengattung aufgestellt. Die Geschichte der Panzerjäger (PzJg) seit 1956 verlief in mehreren Abschnitten, von denen jeder von einer neuen Heeresstruktur begleitet war. Dennoch spiegeln sie stärker als die Entwicklung der übrigen gepanzerten Kampftruppen alle Veränderungen der Konzeption des Heeres wider. Der erste Abschnitt der Entwicklung umfaßt die Jahre 1956-59. Die Panzerjägertruppe wurde in sieben Panzerjägerbataillone gegliedert, die den Divisionen zugeordnet waren. Es waren dies die Bataillone der fünf zuerst aufgestellten Heeresdivisionen 1 bis 5 sowie das Panzerjägerbataillon 8 der Gebirgsjägerdivision und das Panzerjägerbataillon 9 der Luftlandedivision. Ferner bestand bei der Panzerjägerschule in Bremen das Panzerjäger-Lehrbataillon. Die Ausrüstung bestand aus dem leichten amerikanischen Panzer M 41 und später aus dem Kampfpanzer M 47. Jedes Bataillon hatte drei PzJgKp mit jeweils 22 Panzern; dazu kamen vier Wagen der Bataillonsführung.
