More Guenon "Orient et Occident" Orient et Occident est complémentaire à La crise du monde moderne. Le propos de ce livre publié en 1924 était d’éviter ce qu’il est convenu d’appeler aujourd’hui le « choc des civilisations », en présentant, un Occident en déshérence oublieux de son propre patrimoine spirituel, les richesses d’un Orient largement ignoré, ou défiguré. Selon Guénon, l'Occident devra revenir à des valeurs traditionnelles, s'il veut empêcher la dissolution qui le menace. L’Orient pourrait être le support d'un retour vers ces valeurs. Cependant, ce rapprochement ne s'opérera pas sans difficultés : Guénon énumère les écueils à éviter afin, par la suite, de mettre en perspective les conditions nécessaires à cette entente.
