More (Serie Fuerza Aérea Argentina 8) By Sergio Bontti A mediados del año 1935, durante la presidencia de AgustÃn Pedro Justo, se produjo un gran deÂbate parlamentario con interpelación a los ministros de Guerra, General de Brigada Manuel Augusto RodrÃguez, y de Marina, Capitán de Navio Eleazar Videla, motivado en la aparente inseguridad en la actividad de vuelo que repercutÃa en la capacidad de proveer una adecuada respuesta a la Defensa Nacional. El debate que tuvo como principal impulsor y seguidor al diputado demócrata progresista Julio Argentino Noble, se habÃa originado en una serie de accidentes de aeronaves tanto civiles como militares, entre los que se destacaban los aviones de fabricación nacional de la serie Aé.M.O./Aé.C denominados por aquella época "prototipos". Si bien el desarrollo de las sesiones permitió establecer que el nivel de seguridad aérea era simi-lar al de los paÃses con mayor desarrollo aeronáutico, los temas relativos a la obsolescencia del material de vuelo militar y a la capacidad de disuasión creÃble brindaron un marco apropiado para que los legisladores elaboraran un proyecto de ley tendiente al equipamiento de las fuerzas armadas con material aéreo acorde a los tiempos.
