More Mount Everest Expeditionen zum hoechsten Gipfel der Welt Note: Der Mount Everest stellt von jeher eine der größten Herausforderungen an Bergsteiger dar. Seit 1922 wurden immer wieder Expeditionen zusammengestellt um den höchsten Berg der Erde zu bezwingen. Die Erstersteigung gelang dem Neuseeländer Edmund Hillary im Jahre 1953. Seitdem erfolgten mehrere Besteigungen, wie z. B. von der Japanerin Junko Tabei am 16. Mai 1975 oder Reinhold Messners Alleingang am 20. August 1980.
