With his disconcertingly hypnotic, excitingly oscillating music, the American Morton Feldman has become a cult figure in recent years. Now, recordings of hitherto unpublished compositions for film are available for the first time on a cd. When we imagine Feldman, we think of pure, crystalline music. But we do not think of wide, soft sounds, that do describe paintings through their power, like you would expect in Hollywood productions. We do not know him like that. On this cd we have two pieces that give notice of the narrow liason with painting, (Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock). Being in the present with the sound, this time music with stories and history: this is how we experience this extraorbitant dramatic art by the fascinating recording by ensemble recherche.

NOTE: If you check the LOG file, it says 2 files were ripped with errors. Those two files were re-ripped using EAC's Burst mode and the Test CRCs and the Read CRCs were matching, indicating they were accurate rips. No worries there.

NOTE(2): Stupid me forgot to edit the CUE file adequately. If you check the file paths in the CUE, the Something Wild album is inside another folder entitled 'feldman, morton', but when you un-RAR it, only the album folder is created. It's probably easiest for you to create another folder entitled exactly 'feldman, morton' and then place the album folder inside it. You'd think that after so many uploads and such I'd finally have this down, but guess again! :P
