Mario Dal Fabbro was a well-trained furniture maker, applying, art, craft and scholarship to his chosen trade – finding the time to write twelve books on the subject while working prolifically for his family’s furniture making business. It was during this time that Mr. Dal Fabbro explored all types of modern materials and technologies, utilizing a wide range of form and function to create everything from children’s furniture to built-in units. But evident in these works, despite being of the modern movement, were the nuts and bolts of his craftsman’s heritage and skills, which he applied to his passion for - and experimentation of – a variety of materials, especially wood.

This is one of the 12 books on Mid-century Modern furniture written by Italian-American furniture designer/maker Mario dal Fabbro. The book contains measured drawings of Mario's own designs as well as other popular designers such as Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen.
