Originally intended as Mercury MG-20594 (mono) / SR-60253 (stereo), but unreleased for several years. Max Roach Quintet's last album left on Mercury label, recorded in Paris, France. A very hip piano-less quintet date, featuring Julian Priester and the brothers Turrentine. Bebop and hardbop with a hint of the future. "Liberte" is particularly loose.
