More Rock, Blues │ Experience Hendrix - MCA Records 2003 | Code B000069802 Just got this...the two previously unreleased tracks on this cd are quite nice. i'm surprised that there's material of this quality left unreleased. "blue window" is an extended original blues with nice organ and horns, both of which were rare in Hendrix recordings. it's a long jam that vacillates between sounding impromptu and surprisingly well arranged...clearly everyone was listening very closely to each other and/or it's the final take of many attempts at this song. "Georgia Blues" features very fine traditional blues guitar by Hendrix and a strong vocal by Lonnie Youngblood...surprisingly it stems from 1969 and not from his years of session work prior to starting to sing lead himself. overall this is a serious, deep, long and slow blues album with an informal feel...6 of the 10 tracks are seven minutes or longer, some of them well over ten minutes long. sound quality is excellent, although slightly rough on "blue window"... highly recommended!
