Crenshaw proposes a new integration of many of the existing theories and practices of family and child counseling with those of the welfare, child protection, and social services programs. This new approach, termed a therapy of family justice, combines quantitative and qualitative methods of research with theoretical treatments and practical applications of the care of children and families in the Child protective services.
