More Lower Extremity Wounds: A Problem-Based Learning Approach This textbook is aimed at nurses and podiatrists involved in the everyday management of lower extremity wounds. It presents the relevant theory followed by problem-based learning scenarios that allow the reader to integrate theory into practice and to develop the problem solving and critical thinking capabilities of the readers. These scenarios are centred on the assessment, diagnosis and management of commonly observed wounds: Diabetic Foot Ulcers; Pressure Ulcers; Leg Ulcers; Infected Wounds; and, Surgical Wounds. Reflection is an integral aspect of learning and as such the end of each chapter provides the reader with the opportunity to reflect on what they have learnt and how they will put this into practice in the future. or
