More Lee Kernaghan "Electric Rodeo" 2002 | Genre: Country Lee Kernaghan is one of Australia's most popular and influential country singers and songwriters. He has dominated the charts with successive hit albums including "Three Chain Road", "1959", "Hat Town" and "Electric Rodeo" making him Hit Maker of the Decade and creating a new musical landscape along the way. He has done to country music in Australia what Garth Brooks did in the USA..... he blurred the line and took country music out of the box that it had existed in for decades. Lee had moved to Queensland, married, started a family, undertaken the amazing Pass The Hat tours, released his concept Rules Of The Road album and lots more, but through it all there's been the underlying question of where Lee would head with this album. The question was emphatically answered when Electric Rodeo burst out of the chute. Predictably the album shot up the ARIA album chart on release, leaving most of its pop counterparts in its dust, but it was the reaction from fans and industry that was the most definitive moment … "brilliant", "sensational", "tough", different", but most telling "it's country!" … because many pundits were tipping that Lee would cross the pop road on this one. Wrong! And those who know Lee Kenaghan well recognize the pride and the passion in the man that drives him along the country music trail. This is more an album of progress in a musical sense, whilst retaining the traditions and values that are such an integral part of the Lee Kernaghan persona.
