More Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - Faust. Eine Tragödie Heinrich Faust, ein Forscher und Wissenschaftler, zieht die Bilanz seines Lebens und kommt zu einem doppelt niederschmetternden Fazit: Als Wissenschaftler fehle es ihm an tiefer Einsicht und brauchbaren Ergebnissen, und als Mensch sei er unfähig, das Leben in seiner Fülle zu genießen. In dieser verzweifelten Lage verspricht er dem Teufel Mephisto seine Seele, wenn es diesem gelingen sollte, Faust aus seiner Unzufriedenheit und Ruhelosigkeit zu befreien. Mephisto schließt mit Faust einen Pakt, verwandelt ihn zurück in einen jungen Mann, nimmt ihn mit auf eine Reise durch die Welt und hilft ihm, die Liebschaft mit der jungen Margarete, genannt Gretchen, einzufädeln. Die Tragödie gelesen, werden wir erkennen, wozu das führte...
