PETER DICKINSON Born in Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire. After attending Cambridge, he studied composition in New York with Bernard Wagenaar at the Juilliard School of Music. He had a distinguished academic career including positions at the Universities of Birmingham, Keele and London. He was an accompanist to his sister Meriel, a mezzo-soprano for whom he also wrote music. His large catalogue consists of orchestral, chamber, choral (both sacred and secular), vocal and instrumental music. For orchestra he also wrote a Violin Concerto and a Concerto for Strings, Percussion and Electronic Organ.
