Review:

Laurent Schwartz was awarded a Fields Medal for his development of distribution theory (sometimes called generalized functions). Despite the international prominence of Schwartz and the blooming interest in distribution theory, his tome in French has yet to be translated.

This was the closest thing available to learn about this fascinating theory from a mathematical pioneer. The text is brief, to the point and clear. A very enjoyable read. Hopefully, Dover will pick this title up one day and give this treatise the exposure it deserves.
