Some minutes ago I receved a mail from our member BlackwatchPlaid who worried about and brought my attention to a site I did not know so far.

And, same as BlackwatchPlaid wrote to me, everything you can see on that site is nothing else as copy and paste from AvaxHome. They grab the picture, even the info lines from promote part, the tracklist and the links.

Content looks almost like looking at AvaxHome music index pages.

What you cannot find anywhere on that site are the names of the original publishers and uploaders and of course even a search over the page did not result in even a single hit for the keyword AvaxHome.

Personally I do not care about such guys who have no real stuff to fill their pages themselves :-) but a short quote from BlackwatchPlaid's mail makes me see it a bit different in thiscase.

I do NOT think that we now should start discussions like "Honor among thieves" etc. and I do not think that such little parasits will hurt AvaxHome.

But I fully understand that part of our publishers do not like this behavior.

There is not much we can do against it, but I guess 2 things can help a bit to make these guys rethink their behavior.

For publishers:

Use Password!

While BlackwatchPlaid speaks about "EVERY publication posted to the music section" my short check did not find any publication using our default password!

These guys do not want to hurt their business by publishing "& 119;& 119;& 119;& 46;& 65;& 118;& 97;& 120;& 72;& 111;& 109;& 101;& 46;& 114;& 117;" on their pages :-)

Every publisher who currently does not use password at all and every publisher who does not have a real need for a personal password: Please from now on use AvaxHome's default password:

I'm rather sure you no longer will find your links copied at that site when you use our password. :-)

For downloaders:

Add comments :-)

Why not assist your fomous publishers a bit? How about a little flood of comments at that site? Giving for example the REAL URL for an album publication? Or write comments to "congratulate" that wonderful site? I guess, some of you will have very creative ideas for nice :-) comments.

Yep, it is sooo easy to get an advertisement at AvaxHome without any payment ;-)
