Il Comandante Mark è un personaggio dei fumetti. La testata che ospita le sue avventure nacque nel 1966 ad opera del trio di autori torinesi che si facevano chiamare EsseGesse. Essi erano Pietro Sartoris, Dario Guzzon e Giovanni Sinchetto, già autori de Il grande Blek, Capitan Miki, Kinowa e Alan Mistero. L'editore era la Daim Press, l'attuale Sergio Bonelli Editore.

Trama

Le avventure del Comandante Mark si svolgono tra il 1773 e il 1781, nell'Ontario, durante la Guerra di indipendenza americana. Mark è un comandante dei Lupi dell'Ontario, una formazione paramilitare che combatte contro le Giubbe rosse di Re Giorgio III. Suoi amici e alleati sono Mister Bluff (ex corsaro, un tempo sposato ed ex compagno di lotta del padre di Mark), Gufo Triste (valoroso combattente e uomo saggio, anche se inguaribilmente pessimista, discendente di uno stregone), El Gancho (un rude marinaio), Betty (la bella bionda dal look collegiale, gelosissima ma non a torto, talvolta protagonista lei stessa di alcune missioni. Nell'ultimo episodio si sposerà finalmente con Mark) e il fedele cane Flok.
