This first edition soft cover text is about preoperative and postoperative rehabilitation of the musculo skeletal system. The handbook is written to provide physicians and the rapists with suggested rehabilitation protocols for a wide variety o forth opedic conditions. The editor and contributors were very successful by both keeping the protocols concise and user friendly. The objectives are successfully met. The book is primarily written for treating physicians and therapists caring for patients needing rehabilitation. Other medical allied professional such as nurses and cast technicians can make good use of its information. The editor, S.Brent Brotzman from the Spohn Hospital, Corpus Christi, Texas, is well qualified in the subject. He and his contributors bring a wealth of knowledge mainly from the Campbell Clinics in Memphis. The illustrations are most appropriate. The photographs in particular were very well done. The handbook is narrow and small enough to fit comfortably in a lab coat pocket. No references are used in the book. There is an obvious need for this type of book. Rehabilitation as a branch of medicine has grown in importance in recent years. I highly recommend its purchase by all physical and occupational therapists, orthopedic surgeons, and trainees in these fields. FileSize 78.84 MB
