More Greek Science of the Hellenistic Era We all want to understand the world around us, and the standard for scientific enquiry of the world was set my the ancient Greeks. Their thought and writings laid the essential foundations for the revivals of science in medieval Baghdad and renaissance Europe. Now this book makes the work of over 100 of these fathers of modern science available to all. The book begins by describing the environment in Ancient Greece that led to both the development and decline of Greek science, followed by eleven chapters that cover the main disciplines.
