Graindelavoix est un ensemble vocal tout à fait unique au monde dont la façon de chanter se reconnaît de suite. Aucun autre ensemble n'a développé comme lui, l'art d'ornement, tout comme aucun autre ensemble n'a jamais réalisé un travail aussi poussé sur l'émission du son vocal, aucun autre ensemble ne produit des voix si riches en harmoniques qu'elles donnent parfois l'impression de chanter en diaphonie. Il y a plus de trois ans, nous découvrîmes cet ensemble étonnant dans la Missa Caput de Johannes Ockeghem, une production qui nous est restée en mémoire. Voici que cet ensemble nous revient avec une superbe Missa de Sancta Maria Magdalena de Nicolas Champion. L'on est absolument sous le charme de cette musique dès la première note, qui d'emblée nous transporte vers l'époque lointaine des polyphonies du 16e siècle. Peu d'enregistrements nous captivent de la sorte et nous transmettent un tel bonheur d'écoute, nous procurent une telle émotion musicale. La prise de son est absolument parfaite et nous restitue toute cette opulence sonore dans un environnement qui bénéficie d'une riche réverbération toute naturelle.
