More Gossip Girl. Season 1. Episodes 1-10 (HDTV) Based on the popular book series of the same name, this drama gives viewers a peek into the world of privileged teenagers on an elite private school in New York City. The story is written by The O.C.'s Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and directed by Mark Piznarski who has worked on series like Everwood and Veronica Mars. Surface's Leighton Meester and Accepted's Blake Lively have taken the lead roles in this drama series. They will play Blair and Serena respectively, rich Manhattan rivals at a private school in New York. The last additions to this new CW drama are Misconceptions Taylor Momsen, The Covenant's Chace Crawford and The Bedford Diaries's Penn Badgley. Their characters are Momsen as Jenny a 14 year-old and shy girl, Nate the good looking boyfriend of Blair, and Dan the secret admirer of Serena. E-Ring's Kelly Rutherford and The Jury's Florencia Lozano have both been cast as the mothers of lead roles Serena and Blair. Rutherford will play the mother of Serena van der Woodsen (Lively's character), a former ballerina and rock groupie. Meanwhile Lozano was cast as Eleanor Waldorf the mother of Blair Waldorf (Meester's character). World Trade left's Conner Paolo has been cast as Serena's brother, Eric van der Woodsen, Afterlife's Ed Westwick has been cast as Chuck Bass, and Brothers and Sisters' Matthew Settle has been cast as Jenny and Dan's father, Rufus Humphrey. Episode 1. Pilot First aired: 9/19/2007 Episode 2. The Wild Brunch First aired: 9/26/2007 It's the day after the already infamous 'Kiss on the Lips' and Serena decides it's high time Blair's icy cold glares and less-than-welcoming attitude come to a screeching halt. But Blair, it seems, is just getting started. She admits that she knows Serena slept with her boyfriend, Nate, left before her mystifying - and much gossiped about - disappearance. I mean, really, did Serena expect to be welcomed back with open arms after that? Apparently so, since she never expected Nate to tell! But he did, and the claws are out - GOSSIP GIRL will just love this piece of dish... Just when you thought things couldn't get uglier, Serena decides that Dan would make a good escort for the fundraiser brunch at The Palace... a brunch hosted by none other than Jenny's would-be rapist, Chuck. And speaking of Jenny... the eager freshman pays a visit to ultra-cool Blair, who quickly realizes that granting the eager wannabe access to her elite inner circle might just prove useful. Episode 3. Poison Ivy First aired: 10/3/2007 Ivy week equals drama as the Upper East Side teens from Constance Billard and St. Jude's prepare for a much-anticipated visit from the Ivy League representatives. Blair uncovers a scandalous secret about Serena that may not remain a secret much longer. Dan has his heart and future set on the coveted usher position for the Dartmouth rep, only to be beat out by Nate, who has no interest in the school despite pressure from his controlling father, The Captain. Meanwhile, Jenny bonds with Serena's younger brother, Eric, and Rufus must swallow his pride and ask Lily for a favor to help his son, Dan. Ed Westwick also stars. It's Ivy week for the Upper East Side teens of Constance Billiard and St. Judes and the visiting representatives arrival brings more than just college applications. Cutt-throat rivalry is at it's sharpest this week as the students compete for prestigious positions. Blair discovers a shocking but juicy secret about Serena and plots to drop the bomb at the best possible moment. Dan is sure that landing the coveted usher position with the Dartmouth rep will either make or break his future at the school. Unfortunately, it's Nate who nabs the position, despite total disinterest in the school. Meanwhile, Jenny gets close to Serena's younger brother Eric and Rufus asks Lily for a favor. Episode 4. Bad News Blair First aired: 10/10/2007 FASHION VICTIM — Blair is thrilled when her mother, Eleanor, chooses her to be the new face of her clothing line. However, Blair's happiness soon turns to feelings of betrayal and jealousy when Serena moves into the spotlight and Blair finds herself back in Serena's shadow. Meanwhile, Serena and Dan are reminded once again that they come from two very different worlds, and Nate and Chuck indulge in a boys' weekend to blow off steam after Ivy Week. Taylor Momsen, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star. The episode directed by Patrick Norris was written by Joshua Safran. Episode 5. Dare Devil First aired: 10/17/2007 Serena and Dan go on their first official date. Dan tries to impress Serena with an elaborate plan for the date, but fails to understand that Serena is happier with beer than champagne. That same night Jenny is invited to the infamous Blair Waldorf sleepover and finds herself in a high stakes game of "Truth or Dare". Meanwhile, Lily finds out that Eric is missing from the treatment left, and she finds herself seeking help from her ex-boyfriend, Rufus. Episode 6. The Handmaiden's Tale First aired: 10/24/2007 Masquerade Ball, anyone? Dan is torn between two girls when his childhood friend, Vanessa, returns home and declares her feelings for him, just as he and Serena are trying to figure out what they mean to each other. At the infamous masked ball, Blair sends Nate on a scavenger hunt, but Nate is ultimately still distracted by his feelings for Serena. Although Blair makes it perfectly clear that outsiders are not welcome, a disguised Jenny and Dan sneak into the ball. Finally, Lily asks Rufus to accompany her to an Eleanor Waldorf event in order to make Bart Bass jealous. Episode 7. Victor, Victrola First aired: 11/7/2007 Things are heating up between Serena and Dan. Serena and Dan finally accept that they are crazy about each other, despite that they come from polar opposite worlds. Chuck thinks of investing in a club trying to make his father Bart Bass proud of him. Nate confronts his father, about the drugs he found in his house but he denies having a problem. Jenny discovers a secret that her parents have been keeping from her. Finally, Blair is devastated by Nate's actions when Jenny reveals that Nate kissed her by accident thinking she was Serena. Episode 8. Seventeen Candles First aired: 11/14/2007 It's Blair's 17th Birthday Party! Blair is devastated by the current state of her relationship with Nate and the guilt from her recent indiscretion. But she manages to put on a happy face for her 17th birthday party and attempts to hide her feelings from her friends. Hoping to ease the tension between Serena and Vanessa, Dan takes Vanessa to Blair's party so the girls can bond together, but this ends up making Serena more uncomfortable. Jenny brings her mother home as a surprise visit, but Rufus isn't ready to forgive and forget. Finally, Nate's parents ask him to make a huge sacrifice to save his father's business as he faces charges of embezzlement and fraud. Episode 9. Blair Waldorf Must Pie! First aired: 11/28/2007 The Humphreys and Van Der Woodsens share Thanksgiving — When Dan hears that Serena and her family are spending Thanksgiving alone at The Palace, he naively invites them to spend the holiday with his family, creating an uncomfortable situation for Rufus and Lily whose children are unaware of their complicated romantic history. Meanwhile, Blair’s emotions spiral out of control when she learns that her father isn’t coming home for Thanksgiving. Nate spends the holiday with his mom and dad, but their awkward dinner quickly goes from bad to worse. Episode 10. Hi, Society First aired: 12/5/2007 The annual Cotillion Ball is about to take place. Blair is not going with Nate, but she finds herself being featured in The New York Times and is enjoying her secret affair with Chuck. Serena is not going, so her grandmother, CeCe, shows up to change her mind. Jenny volunteers for the ball and Lily takes her under her wing. But the night of The Cotillion is the night of Alison's first art opening, and Rufus and Alison say Jenny cannot attend the ball. Jenny decides to defy them both. Refreshed by Blair's newly buoyant attitude, Nate asks her to The Cotillion and she says yes, which makes Chuck jealous. CeCe tells Lily and Serena that she is sick and her last dying wish is to see Serena go to the ball, and she wants Serena to go with Carter Baizen. CeCe insults Dan and offers to pay Rufus off to convince Dan not to go with Serena. Dan learns of this and tells Serena that he does not think very highly of CeCe, which results in a huge fight between them. Serena decides to go to the ball with Carter. Chuck manipulates Nate into thinking Carter is having an affair with Blair, so Nate punches Carter at the ball.
